    Seasonal Food Ingredients

    We strive to make you enjoy fish and seasonal vegetables collected in the island.
    For example, in spring, we provide all-year fish such as yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna and greater amberjack as well as sashimi of bigfin reef squid.We also provide vegetables such as ripe tomato, stick senor, snap garden peas, kidney beans, celery and red leaf lettuce.

  • Salt
    Seasonal Food Ingredients

    In addition to food ingredients, we use the salt in the island for cooking. The salt is made by simmering away and then roasting. The work is quite time consuming, but it is exceptional to eat ripe tomatoes with the island salt. For drinking water, we use spring water kindly provided by Sakaiura Family.

  • Traditional Dish
    Seasonal Food Ingredients

    We also provide Shimazushi, which is an island traditional dish. Ours is a classic type of Shimazushi.
    Shimazushi is characterized by sweeter vinegared rice than that in usual Edomae sushi. We currently provide slightly sweet Shimazushi which is easy to eat, but it is said that those made by grandmothers were much sweeter. Please come to enjoy our Shimazushi at PAPA’S RESORT ISLAND.

  • *Peak season refers to March, Golden Week, June, July, August, and the New Year holiday period.
  • Single occupancy is not available during peak season.
  • *Except for July and August, rates are 10% off from the day the Ogasawara-maru departs Chichijima until the day before it arrives back at Chichijima.
  • *Child rates: free for children up to 3 years old; 70% of the adult rate for children aged 4–12 (elementary school age).
  • *Dinner is available as an option for ¥3,300 per meal. However, after the Ogasawara-maru departs Chichijima, only breakfast will be provided. If you would like dinner, please inform us at breakfast each day. For package tours, two meals may be included.
  • *For groups of 5 guests sharing one room, futons will be provided and the rate for one person will be 70% of the above rates.
  • *If you wish to keep your room during external tours (e.g., Hahajima overnight stay or Mukoh-keita tour), 50% of the above rate will be charged.

Cancellation

Please note that you will be charged for a cancellation fee, if you cancel within twenty days before OgasawaraMaru’s departure date from the Port of Tokyo Takeshiba Ship Terminal.
